Senior Full Stack Developer

About the role

We are building a modern headless ecommerce platform and need a senior full stack developer who can own features end-to-end. You will work across frontend, backend, integrations, and performance. You must be comfortable working from Figma and collaborating closely with a UI designer to bring designs live on the website.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship customer-facing web experiences using a modern frontend stack
• Develop backend services and APIs for ecommerce and third-party integrations
• Implement and extend headless CMS driven content and product experiences
• Partner closely with our UI designer in Figma, translate designs into pixel-accurate, responsive production UI, and push updates live on the website
• Integrate payments, shipping, tax, notifications, and operational systems where required
• Improve performance, reliability, and observability (logging, monitoring, error tracking)
• Maintain clean engineering standards (code reviews, testing, documentation, CI/CD)

Required skills and experience

• Strong full stack experience building modern web applications
• Strong experience with headless architecture and a headless CMS (Directus, Strapi, Contentful, Sanity, Prismic, etc )
• Ecommerce experience (headless ecommerce preferred)
• Strong frontend skills (React, Next.js preferred)
• Strong backend skills (Node.js, TypeScript preferred) and API design (REST or GraphQL)
• Strong database fundamentals (Postgres preferred) plus performance optimisation
• Proven ability to work from Figma, communicate with designers, and accurately implement UI for production (responsive, accessible, clean UI quality)

Cloudflare, CDN strategy, edge performance optimisation

Analytics event implementation (PostHog or similar)

Design system experience (reusable components, tokens, consistency)
