Senior Full Stack Web Developer

5D Solutions is looking for a full-stack JavaScript/Typescript engineer who can design, build, test, secure, deploy, and monitor modern web applications end-to-end using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js/Next.js, Node.js/Nest.js ). You will collaborate with product, design, DevOps, and QA teams to ship clean, maintainable, and highly performant code that scales to meet the needs of increasing concurrent users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, develop, and scale web applications and microservices using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js/Next.js, Node.js/Nest.js).
• Design and implement RESTful/GraphQL APIs with a strong focus on security, performance, and scalability.
• Build responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces with React.js, collaborating closely with UI/UX designers for consistent and accessible user experiences.
• Develop reusable, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID and DRY design principles. Implement automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Manage source control workflow through Git, including merging, branching, and reviewing pull requests.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and code reviews.
• Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes to streamline development and deployment.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, primarily AWS, using services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, and managed MongoDB services. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Stay updated with emerging trends such as Progressive Web Apps (PWA), serverless computing, micro-frontends, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Ensure robust application security including authentication, authorization, data protection, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Optimize database design, schema management, and query performance in MongoDB/MySQL.
• Handle multiple projects (from inception) simultaneously while communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in backend development using Node.js and Express.js frameworks. Good knowledge of Typescript app integrations.
• Proficiency in frontend development with React.js, including functional components, hooks, and state management libraries (e.g., Redux).
• Solid experience with MongoDB including data modeling, indexing, aggregation, and performance tuning. Skilled in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and following API-first development approaches.
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
• Proficient with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong understanding of web application security principles and best practices.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, etc.) and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Solid business requirement translation into technical designs and providing scalable solutions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
