Front-End Engineering Lead

Were seeking someone who has built platforms from scratch, understands scalable design systems, and brings strong architectural thinking to React + Next.js-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement the frontend structure of a scalable web portal using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Lead the development of a component library/design system using Tailwind, Storybook, and reusable patterns.
• Integrate with backend services via Kong API Gateway, managing auth, sessions, and performance.
• Drive SSR/CSR decisions, routing patterns, and code-splitting strategies for SEO and performance.
• Set up and maintain frontend pipelines (CI/CD, linting, testing with Jest/Playwright/Cypress)
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and security compliance
• Collaborate across backend, product, QA, and design teams for cohesive delivery
• Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews to maintain high quality

Preferred Qualifications

• 712 years of frontend experience, at least 23 years in a technical lead role
• Strong command over React, Next.js, Redux/React Query, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
• Prior experience building and scaling frontend architectures from the ground up
• Deep understanding of component lifecycle, routing, SSR/CSR, authentication, and caching
• Familiarity with Storybook, CI/CD tools (Vercel, GitHub Actions), and test frameworks
• Exposure to regulated domains like fintech, wealth, banking, or insurance is a plus
