Senior Front-End Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer-JavaScript Frontend at Light & Wonder, you will play a crucial role in creating captivating game experiences for our LnW products. Your responsibilities will include implementing, debugging, and modifying in-game features, as well as actively participating in game design. You are expected to work independently with strong technical skills while also fostering communication and collaboration within the team. **Principal Duties and Responsibilities:** - Implement and maintain client-side code for desktop and mobile games efficiently. - Develop client/server-based applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies. - Propose new tools and processes to enhance the development of gaming products. - Contribute to the creation of innovative games and new features. - Provide assistance to team members in issue resolution and mentor junior team members. **Position Requirements:** **Education:** - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field. **Required Experience:** - 4-8 years of software development experience. - Proficiency in JavaScript with a strong understanding of its concepts. - Familiarity with Data structures and web mark-up languages like HTML5 and CSS3. - Experience with development tools, debuggers, and code versioning systems. - Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming techniques and languages. **Preferred Experience:** - Familiarity with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery, and NodeJS. - Hands-on experience with other programming languages like Java, C++, Python. - Proficiency in front-end build tools like Grunt and distributed application development. - Previous experience in game development, UI development, and animations.
