Job Description

Overview: The Senior Fitter is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment. This role involves ensuring the smooth functioning of industrial machines by performing high-level fitting tasks, supervising junior fitters, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Installation & Assembly: Install and assemble mechanical components, machinery, and equipment. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to install components correctly. Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, identifying and addressing issues promptly. Replace or repair faulty components and parts using hand tools, power tools, or machines. Supervision & Leadership: Supervise and guide junior fitters and maintenance staff, providing on-the-job training and support. Monitor work quality and adherence to safety and operational standards. Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed according to safety regulations and best practices. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Monitor and report any safety hazards to the maintenance manager or supervisor. Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including materials used and time taken. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
