Key Responsibilities

Billing & Accounts Management

• Manage

  end-to-end client billing cycles

  for US and Indian entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and issue

  invoices

  as per client contracts and track

  collections/inward remittances

  .
• Maintain

  QuickBooks

  for day-to-day accounting, reconciliation, and financial record management.
• Track

  accounts receivable (AR)

  and

  accounts payable (AP)

  ; follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Coordinate with banks to confirm inward remittances and currency conversions for export proceeds.
  

Finance Operations

• Maintain and reconcile

  company accounts, ledgers, and expense records

  .
• Prepare and review

  monthly financial statements

  , balance sheets, and MIS reports.
• Assist in

  budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  .
• Support the Director in maintaining compliance with

  audit, tax, and regulatory filings

  in India and for US entities.
• Ensure accurate booking of expenses, reimbursements, and payroll transactions.
  

Compliance & Policy Adherence

• Ensure adherence to

  company finance policies, accounting standards, and security controls

  .
• Support internal and external audits (including SOC 2 compliance requirements related to finance and billing).
• Maintain documentation of all financial transactions with appropriate approval workflows.
• Ensure compliance with

  FEMA, GST, and export invoicing regulations

  (for Indian operations).

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with the

  US finance team

  to align billing, reporting, and reconciliations across regions.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Operations, HR, and Engineering) for project-based billing and budget management.
• Communicate professionally with clients and vendors on billing or payment-related matters.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of

  US and Indian billing practices

  and

  cross-border transactions

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  QuickBooks Online

  (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of

  Zoho Books

  is a plus.
• Knowledge of

  international payment methods (ACH, wire, SWIFT, Payoneer, etc.)

  and inward remittance tracking.
• Familiarity with

  GST, TDS, and Indian accounting standards

  .
• Experience with

  US-based invoicing formats, W-9/W-8 forms, and 1099 vendor compliance

  preferred.
• Excellent

  verbal and written communication skills

  to collaborate with global teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to maintain

  confidentiality and integrity

  in all financial dealings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Commerce, Accounting, or Finance

  .

• 4–7 years

  of experience in accounting and finance operations.
• Prior experience handling

  US and India cross-border billing

  preferred.
• Proficiency in

  QuickBooks

  (mandatory) and MS Excel (advanced level).
• Familiarity with

  SOC 2 / audit-compliant environments

  desirable.

• Experience in

  financial planning, cost optimization, and vendor management

• Exposure to

  startup or IT services sector

  finance processes.
• Understanding of

  data confidentiality and information security in financial operations
