Role Overview: You will be the Senior Engineering Manager at Jio Tesseract, leading a team of developers and engineers to deliver technical solutions. Your role will involve making architecture decisions, mentoring team members, and overseeing the development of applications using Node.js, Python, Microservices, Azure, and MongoDB. Collaboration with product managers, business leaders, and cross-functional teams will be crucial for delivering high-quality and scalable software solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of engineers in designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications. - Architect, develop, and maintain Node.js and Python-based backend services. - Design and implement scalable solutions on Microsoft Azure, utilizing cloud-native services and infrastructure. - Drive best practices for code quality, performance, and security, ensuring adherence to industry standards. - Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Oversee and guide the development of MongoDB-based systems for high availability and scalability. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring junior engineers and conducting code reviews. - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and efficient development processes. - Manage project timelines, resources, and risks to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions. - Stay updated with the latest technology trends and integrate innovative solutions into the engineering processes. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 12+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js and Python. - 8+ years of experience in leading and managing engineering teams, with a track record of delivering large-scale projects. - Proficiency in microservices architecture and design patterns. - Hands-on experience in building and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure. - Familiarity with MongoDB and other NoSQL databases. - Strong knowledge of cloud-native tools and services such as Azure Functions, Kubernetes, and Docker. - Proficient in RESTful API design and integration. - Experience in Agile software development methodologies. - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
