Senior Engineering Manager Experience Design, Retail Consumer Products

Role Overview: As a Senior Engineering Manager Experience Design for Retail Consumer Products at 7-Eleven Global Solution Center, your primary role will be to lead the design practice for retail convenience consumer technology in Bangalore. You will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of user-centered design solutions to ensure exceptional customer experiences across digital and physical touchpoints in the convenience retail sector. Key Responsibilities: - Define and execute the design vision and strategy for retail convenience consumer tech, aligning with business goals and user needs - Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of UX/UI designers, researchers, and content professionals - Oversee the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and final implementation - Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and business teams to deliver intuitive, scalable, and innovative design solutions - Champion user research and data-driven design to exceed customer expectations in convenience retail environments - Establish and enforce design best practices, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines - Act as the primary design advocate, aligning design initiatives with company objectives - Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the design team and across the organization Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of progressive experience in design, with at least 5 years in leadership or management roles - Demonstrated success in leading design teams for retail, convenience, or consumer technology markets - Experience working closely with product and engineering teams - Strong business acumen and understanding of retail and consumer technology trends - Proficiency with tools such as Figma & Sketch - Bachelors or advanced degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field preferred Company Details: 7-Eleven Global Solution Center is dedicated to meeting the needs of customers and communities, embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
