Senior Engineering and Product Operations Specialist

As an Engineering and Product Operations Engineer/Analyst at Poppulo, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across engineering and product teams. Your primary focus will be leveraging tools like Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Jellyfish, and Pendo to gather, interpret, and correlate data to generate actionable insights that support efficient product development and timely releases aligned with the organizational roadmap. Key Responsibilities: - **Tool Ownership & Data Extraction:** Manage and operate key platforms (Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Jellyfish, Pendo) to extract relevant operational and product data. - **Insight Generation:** Analyze engineering and product metrics to identify trends, correlations, and root causes affecting delivery velocity, quality, and roadmap alignment. - **Operational Reporting:** Build and maintain dashboards and reports providing visibility into team performance, product usage, and delivery health. - **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Work closely with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to translate data into insights and recommend actions for improving team efficiency and product outcomes. - **Process Optimization:** Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in engineering and product workflows, proposing data-driven improvements. - **Communication & Storytelling:** Present findings clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making. - **Continuous Improvement:** Stay updated with best practices in engineering/product operations and analytics tooling for enhancing operational capabilities. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 6+ years of experience in engineering operations, product operations, data analytics, or related roles. - Hands-on experience with Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Jellyfish, and Pendo. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights. - Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar). - Solid understanding of software development and product management processes. - Excellent communication and storytelling skills to convey complex data clearly and persuasively. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
