Your mission, roles and responsibilities Position Description Title : Engineer - Welding Fixture Design Reports to : Team Leader - Welding Fixture Design Description: We are presently seeking candidates who can perform Fixture Design, Modeling & Detailing with standard CAD softwares. Education: Bachelors in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical engineering Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in Welding Fixture Design. Experience in automotive domain preferred. Principle Accountability Fixture Design, Modeling and detailing of fixtures as per the clamp plan, subassemblies and components using standrad CAD softwares. Process study, Ability to do static weld study, Basic Simulation understanding Presentation for the Design Reviews Create Bill of Material, Interact with respective Proejcty leader at different locations. Awareness about mass production Jigs/fixtures, Principles and components used for clamping, locating, guiding for work holding, tool guiding devices Should own and execute the projects to meet the customers timeline and quality requirements. Communicate with the customer on day to day activities. Upgrading skills and competencies to meet customer requirements. Participation in company employee involvement / Continuous Improvement activities. Must have the following experience: Welding Fixture design, Modeling and detailing of assemblies and components using standard CAD softwares. Experience on SolidWorks & CATIA V5. General Engineering knowledge, Automobile, Strength of material etc. Exposure to Fixture design and development environment. Quality Consiousness and Deliver High Quality with Stringent Delivery Timelines. Following are the added advantages: Exposure to Exhaust System / Sheet metal design. Various Tool Design knowledge like Welding, Checking, Inspection, Assembly, Machining, Fixtures etc. Good Knowledge and Understanding of Process Docuemnts, Cycle time, Tool Validation Basic knowledge on GD&T. Other requirements: Must be good in spoken and written English communication. Good attitude and discipline is essential to work as a team. Willing to add value through creativity & innovation. Cross Cultural mind set , ability to work with international customers. Your profile and competencies to succeed Minimum education level Bachelor s degree / Diploma in mechanical/ automobile/ production/ polymer engineering Professional Experience Bachelor s Degree / Diploma in mechanical/ automobile/ production/ polymer engineering with prior experience of minimum 1 - 2 years in CAD Software (CATIA / IDEAS / UG etc.) and plastics. OR GET with minimum 6 - 12 months Faurecia domain experience. Skills and competencies Good communication skills in English. Knowledge in relevant engineering domain (Seatings-Complete seat ,interiors, exteriors, acoustics etc) and automobile terminology. Good understanding of plastic part design & tooling Knowledge as per GET training syllabus. Good knowledge of CAD Methodology and best practices as per GET Training syllabus
