Senior Engineer (QA)

• Clear understanding of SDLC, STLC, Bug life cycle concepts
• Expertise on functional and non-functional testing
• Hands-on experience on various black box and manual testing techniques
• Understanding of various test metrics and reports
• Hands-on experience on Test management and Bug tracking tools like Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla, ClearQuest, Quality Centre
• Candidates should have a fundamental understanding of the IOT ecosystem, home automation & security, workflows and basic understanding of cloud communication.
• Familiarity with Home Security standards and terminology is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of BLE and Wifi protocols.
• Experience of leading and guiding junior team members.
• Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
• Embedded software and firmware testing with hands-on expertise on various lab equipment like multimeter, variable power supply, etc
• Mobile application and Hand held mobile devices.

Experience in at least one of the following:

• Enterprise software testing (Web/Desktop).
• Cloud application, Cloud Services & APIs.
• Networking protocol, Devices and application / L2-L3 testing with hands-on experience on tools like : Wireshark, nrf connect, espressif-IDE, flashing tool like silicon lab Kit
• Experience on IoT, Thread, Azure, Apple home kit, etc

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of any scripting language like Python or Perl.
• Knowledge of converting manual test cases to automation test scripts.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Debugging Tools: Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, GDB, PDB, Ixia, Spirent, Vector-cast, G-Test, Monkey runner.

Certification (optional):

• ISTQB - CTFL

Education:

• Bachelors or masters degree in EC/CE/IT or any similar degree.
