Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Create and ensure a significant competitive advantage for BSH on a total cost of ownership basis for assigned material groups by creation and implementation of a common sourcing strategy, maintaining supplier portfolio, convoy negotiations
  • Responsible for regional strategic purchasing of plastic parts and global strategic purchasing of resins (PS, ABS, MB)
  • Reporting, strategy implementation, trouble shooting, implementation of material group strategies.
  • Initiation of projects regarding cost engineering, value stream, supplier enabling together with Supplier management
  • Problem-solving reporting topics, Costs, capacity, quality, contracts, trouble shooting.
  • Communication, strategy, coordination, Supplier market scouting, new developments (Quarterly)
  • Secure compliance with laws, the norms and the BSH-internal guidelines.

Experience required:

  • 5+ years professional experience in supply chain management with a focus on purchasing (preferable)
  • Experience in processes driven companies and art of functions in international companies. (preferable)
  • Experience in exposure to handle inter-cultural problems.
  • Negotiation experience and ability to stand pressure.
  • Time and multi-task management ability

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of material group and supplier strategy given by GPU/REM
  • Material group and market analysis & development, alignment and implementation of material group and supplier strategy/portfolio (incl. strategy approval process) for local or delegated spend.
  • Supplier management (e.g. ensures supplier technical capacities, evaluates risk & performance, triggers supplier development, supplier visits, triggers & supports supplier release, manages supplier base, ensures SAP data maintenance, etc.)
  • Support of regional negotiation & awarding (e.g. drives Rfx, negotiation & awarding process on project, material group or supplier level). Ongoing alignment with GPU/REM in case of delegated spend.
  • Production material: steering: MPC planning, ratio reporting and communication of pooling successes and input for the monthly savings report.
  • Responsible for TCO performance of considered commodities/categories.
