Senior Engineer, IT Security Operations - Firewall

As an individual with a detailed understanding of Security Technologies & Products, TCP/IP fundamentals, and experience with Multivendor Firewalls such as Paloalto, Checkpoint, Fortigate, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Deep expertise in 1 or 2 technology stacks and the ability to quickly learn new technologies - Coaching and guiding a team of Engineers or other Service Management Staff - Identifying requirements and creating a solution architecture that meets identified needs - Analyzing solutions or processes, including Service Management, and offering ways to simplify them - Proficiency in troubleshooting software or infrastructure issues using tools or debugging a large codebase - Improving team operation practices by incorporating best practices - Successfully launching new features or re-architecting old features while balancing technology with business value - Extensive service management, scripting, packaging tools, or programming knowledge in various software languages - Experience and proficiency in object-oriented design and analysis - Identifying and evaluating new technologies for implementation - Strong analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to visualize processes and outcomes - Experience in system performance monitoring and tuning - Continually improving system monitoring and alerting - Identifying and fixing security vulnerabilities - Integrating software or existing solutions with existing systems - Developing test plans and quality assurance procedures - Recommending changes in policies and procedures - Strong hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network and security products in a multivendor environment - Performing analysis and diagnosis of complex network and security problems in large data centers - Problem-solving on IP core network/security, including routing convergence issues - Applying a strong analytical approach to diagnose and resolve any issue, synthesizing complexities into clear communication and action plans - Planning and executing complex network & security upgrade and migration/integration activities - Executing Datacentre Implementation Activities related to Security Technologies and Solutions - Acting as a technical focal point for complex network and security problem resolution - Producing architectural Security designs for large scale networks - Working directly with senior management and business unit heads as required - Requiring excellent communication skills with a firm grasp on documentation and presentation - Associating business context to technical issues and bridging the comprehension gap between technical and non-technical audiences Should you require any additional details about the company or have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.,
