Senior Engineer II - RxJava, Rest API

As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team at American Express, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and managing enterprise platforms and frameworks for Process Management, Case Management, and Work Management. You will work closely with agile teams to drive the latest development practices, write code, conduct unit tests, and identify opportunities for adopting new technologies. - Design, build, and manage enterprise platform and frameworks for Process Management, Case Management, Work Management. - Design, develop, and support shared technology services leveraged by the enterprise. - Take your place as a core member of an agile team driving the latest development practices. - Write code and unit tests, work with API specs and automation. - Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies. - Preferably a BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline. - Possess 6+ years of software development experience. - Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions. - Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential. - Extensive experience in designing and implementing large scale platforms with high resiliency, availability, and reliability. - Strong experience in applications with high throughput and performance. - Experience with microservices architectures and service mesh technologies is preferred.
