Description
Role Overview: As a Qualcomm Software Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software to create cutting-edge products that exceed customer needs. You will collaborate with various teams to design system-level software solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute HALPHY validation for new and legacy WiFi chipsets in factory-test mode (FTM) and mission-mode (MM). - Regress HW DVT RF tests for every software release and identify performance regressions. - Validate core RF KPIs including TPC accuracy, EVM, SEM, frequency error, Tx LO leakage, DPD/eDPD, Tx/Rx IQ cals, Min Rx sensitivity, MIL, and RSSI accuracy. - Develop and enhance automated test flows using QDART/QSPR or equivalent internal tools. - Triage HALPHY failures and work closely with HALPHY FW, MAC/FW, HW, RF systems, and tools teams. - Own/maintain WiFi HALPHY testbeds and document test plans, coverage, and results. - Participate in release signoff by providing RF validation status and risk assessment. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or PhD. - 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Strong understanding of 802.11 PHY/MAC fundamentals, hands-on experience with RF test equipment, practical experience in Wi-Fi testing, scripting skills for automation, and ability to debug complex HW/FW/PHY interactions.
