Job
Description
As an Electrical Design Engineer in the Systems Integration Group (SIG) of Micron Technology, your role involves defining, designing, and implementing advanced test equipment to support semiconductor manufacturing. You will apply electrical circuit theory to design solutions on printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies that implement the test system functions and interface with devices under test. Your responsibilities include generating specifications, selecting components, entering schematics, conducting simulations, supporting PCB/PWB layout, and performing verification testing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams worldwide to ensure the successful implementation of innovative test solutions. **Responsibilities** - Analog and digital circuit design & simulation. - Component selection and schematic entry. - Collaborating with designers to develop PCB layouts. - Debugging and verifying PCB assemblies using lab equipment. - Developing requirements specifications, design documents, test plans, and lab reports. - Programming/scripting towards design automation and data analysis. - Documenting and controlling designs. - Supporting prototype qualification by the customer, including deployment, design changes, and issue resolution. - Handling engineering changes using version control processes. - Supporting released designs for issues or additional design & development requests. **Preferred Additional Skills** - Proficiency in using software for PCB Schematic layout in EDA such as Siemens Xpedition, Cadence OrCAD, KiCad, or similar. - Solid understanding of Analog Device LTspice, Cadence PSpice, or other electronic circuit simulation tools. - Experience with FPGA/ASIC design HDL (Verilog/VHDL and System Verilog). - Understanding of common communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART/serial, JTAG, and PCIe. - Familiarity with embedded systems and microprocessor/microcontroller integration. - Familiarity with PCB layout including power integrity (PI) and signal integrity (SI). - Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation of testing and analysis. **Independence** - Serves as an independent individual contributor to technical projects. **Contribution** - Evaluates issues and defines solutions. - Provides advice and mentorship to less experienced team members. - Broadens cross-disciplinary knowledge through new assignments. **Skills And Experience** - Applies project management skills to small projects or parts of larger projects. - Uses questioning skills to better understand customer needs. - Exchanges sophisticated information with colleagues and manager. - Integrates knowledge of basic concepts, principles, and theories of technical team. **Education Requirement & Eligibility** - Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience. - 1-3 years proven track record in Electrical engineering, hardware, PCB design and development. - Prior people leadership experience or a strong desire to take up a technical manager along with people leadership role. *About Micron Technology, Inc.* Micron Technology is an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions, transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
