Senior Engineer Battery Production

Role Overview: As a Senior Engineer - Battery Production at Simpleenergy, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on the battery manufacturing floor in the EV production facility located in Krishnagiri, Hosur. Your role will be crucial in meeting production targets, ensuring quality, safety, and continuous improvement in lithium-ion battery production. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure shift wise Production Targets are met in line with SNOP - Exceed or meet First Time Through (FTT) & Roller Throughput Yield (RTY) as per set business targets - Drive People development for Skills & Competency development - Maintain a Safety First culture in the shop floor - Conduct VA/ NVA analysis, Operation sheets, Line balancing, Kaizen, 7 QC tools, 8D / QC story analysis approach, 5S, bottleneck analysis, rework / Scrap reduction, Line inventory management, Productivity, New projects - Collaborate with QA, SCM, PE, ME, Plant HR, MFG Finance for daily Operations - Handle lithium-ion battery pack operations including Cells handling, welding (Laser / electrode), Battery pack Charging/discharging process, BMS handling, Leak testing, EOL and rework Qualification Required: - 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Battery manufacturing Operations in the automotive Industry - Diploma / BE in Engineering background - Skill Competencies in Manufacturing Operations, Driving Execution, Shop floor People management, Dealing with Unions as needed, Production, Process design & Process quality expertise Note: About Simpleenergy Simpleenergy specializes in the manufacture of smart electric two-wheelers.
