Senior Engineer - Automation

Role Overview: As a Senior Engineer in Automation at GEA, you will play a crucial role in software development and commissioning of automation systems. Your responsibilities will involve PLC logic development, SCADA screen development, FDS development, documentation preparation, software FAT, electrical panel FAT, remote site support, onsite commissioning support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams within and outside the organization. You must be capable of working independently, remotely, and with minimal supervision while quickly adapting to different job functions and responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Software logic development in the Siemens automation platform - HMI/SCADA screen development in Siemens - FDS write up and development - Incorporating MES reports using various in-house MES products and tools - Software FAT and electrical panel FAT - Onsite commissioning activities Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls, or a similar education background - 4-8 years of experience in control systems-related software design for process/equipment control in industries such as Dairy, Brewery, Food, Beverages, Pharma, or Chemical Additional Company Details: This role will be based in Vadodara, India with extensive travel requirements, involving extended periods on sites throughout India and abroad. The ideal candidate will have experience with automation platforms like Siemens TIA Portal, STEP7, WinCC, knowledge of HMIs (e.g., Siemens TIA HMI configuration, Siemens WinCC flexible), experience in programming languages (e.g., ladder, SCL, STL, FBD), strong software logic development and SCADA screen development skills, basic MES knowledge, experience with Danfoss/SIEMENS VFD, FDS preparation, electrical drawing reading, P&ID drawing understanding, Profibus/Profinet and Industrial Ethernet Network components, onsite commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and fault findings. Experience with other control system platforms like Allen Bradley will be an added advantage.,
