Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and design MEP systems, including HVAC, lighting, power, plumbing, and fire protection, for new construction and renovation projects.

2. Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate MEP designs into overall building plans.

3. Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing MEP systems and identify areas for improvement or renovation.

4. Perform calculations and analysis to ensure that MEP systems meet performance requirements and standards.

5. Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and other documents related to MEP designs.

6. Stay up to date with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to MEP systems, and incorporate best practices into designs.

Role:

1. Design Development: As a Design Engineer for MEP services, your primary role will be to develop detailed designs and specifications for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings. You will work closely with architects, clients, and other team members to ensure that the designs meet all necessary requirements and standards.

2. Project Coordination: You will be responsible for coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and consultants, to ensure that the MEP designs are seamlessly integrated into the overall building plans and construction process.

3. Technical Expertise: You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest advancements in MEP technology and best practices and leverage this knowledge to create innovative and eAicient designs that align with the company's commitment to sustainability and energy eAiciency.

4. Quality Assurance: You will play a critical role in ensuring that all MEP designs meet the highest quality standards and are in compliance with relevant industry codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting Site Surveys: You will be responsible for conducting site surveys to gather information about the existing building conditions and infrastructure, which will inform the design process.

2. Creating Detailed Drawings: You will use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and schematics for MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection.

3. Collaborating with Project Teams: You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure that MEP designs are aligned with overall project objectives and timelines.

4. Reviewing and Approving Designs: You will review and approve designs and specifications prepared by junior engineers or drafters, and provide guidance and mentorship as needed.

5. Resolving Technical Issues: You will be responsible for identifying and resolving any technical issues that arise during the design and construction phases and providing timely and eAective solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering, or a related field.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Proven experience in MEP design for commercial, industrial, or residential construction projects.
• Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
