About GalaxEye Space GalaxEye is pioneering the next generation of Earth Observation (EO) by leveraging advanced SAR and MSI sensors to provide high-resolution satellite imagery and actionable insights. Our mission is to revolutionize geospatial intelligence for industries like agriculture, defense, and disaster management. Role Overview We\u2019re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the development and operations of our scalable, cloud-native infrastructure that supports real-time satellite data delivery. Youll work closely with engineering, data, and product teams to build robust, automated, and secure systems that can handle large volumes of EO data with minimal downtime. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced environment where reliability and performance are mission-critical. Key Responsibilities \u25CF Architect and manage highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. \u25CF Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable smooth, automated deployments and rollbacks. \u25CF Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, and manage containerized environments with Kubernetes and Docker. \u25CF Implement system observability, including centralized logging, performance monitoring, and alerting. \u25CF Ensure system security, compliance, and identity management (IAM, encryption, secure networking). \u25CF Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and ongoing system hardening. \u25CF Partner with backend engineers to ensure performance, scalability, and seamless integration with microservices. \u25CF Optimize cloud spend and resource allocation based on system load and business goals. \u25CF Contribute to and maintain internal DevOps best practices and documentation. Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications \u200b \u25CF 3-5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles. \u25CF Strong knowledge of Python for automation and scripting. Familiarity with monitoring and logging frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Granada, ELK, Datadog). \u25CF Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. \u25CF Experience working with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure. \u25CF Proficiency in Linux system administration and networking concepts. \u25CF Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. \u25CF Knowledge of satellite technology and geospatial data processing is a plus.
