Senior Designer - Structural Production Engineering - Global Service Centre

Role Overview: You will be working as a Sr. Structural Designer in the Engineering department at DP World Global Service Centre, based in Navi Mumbai. Your main responsibility will be to manage, control, teach, and check a group of designers to ensure productivity, quality, and efficiency in line with project and department requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Review and extract materials in the form of MTO on specific projects. - Prepare and verify detailed production packages, including 3D models. - Ensure that structural designers are completing their assigned tasks according to project schedule requirements. - Identify changes in client design drawings and report them to your direct supervisor. - Follow departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to maintain consistency. - Comply with information security rules and data security measures to protect company information and intellectual properties. - Generate complete discipline drawings with Engineer's supervision. - Handle multiple tasks within assigned projects and meet required deadlines. - Coordinate and teach structural designers to ensure department standards are followed. - Enhance or improve activities to reduce cost and man-hours consumption. - Demonstrate good technical competency and ability to generate reports on the status of assigned team/tasks. Qualifications Required: - Draughtsman Diploma from a recognized institute. Bachelor/Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred. - Minimum 5 years of experience using software like Tekla and Cadmatic in a production engineering office for a similar shipyard as DDWD. - Minimum 8-12 years of experience in a similar position.
