Role & responsibilities Observability : Ensure end-to-end monitoring of pipelines, data services, infrastructure, and databases. Proactively detect and resolve issues to maintain system health. FinOps : Track and optimize platform usage and cost. Understand cost drivers, perform forecasting, and automate cost control measures. User Management : Manage onboarding, offboarding, and role-based access controls across tools including Tableau, Snowflake, and AWS. Privilege Access Management : Oversee and audit elevated access to critical systems in compliance with security policies. Application Maintenance : Perform regular maintenance, updates, and health checks on platform components to ensure operational stability. Service Desk Management : Triage and resolve incidents, service requests (SRs), and problems. Maintain the BAU roster and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Minor Enhancements : Address low-effort business enhancements (23 days) through a structured request process. Business Continuity Planning : Maintain and test Business Continuity Plans (e.g., Tableau DR) to ensure platform resilience. Deployment Services : Support production deployments, bug fixes, and enhancements in line with CI/CD pipelines. Data Load Fixes : Resolve failures in data ingestion due to scheduling, connectivity, infrastructure, or secret rotation issues. Transformations/Data Model Support : Provide Level 1 triage for issues arising from schema changes, malformed data, or source inconsistencies. Functional Data Questions : Perform initial triage for data requests or quality issues, and coordinate with domain-specific data analysts as needed. Project Support : Offer support for projects needing platform team involvement License Review : Participate in quarterly Tableau license reviews and ensure license compliance. Documentation : Maintain procedures, work instructions, and knowledge base (KB) articles for operational consistency and knowledge transfer. Preferred candidate profile 3+ years of experience in a Data Platform Support, DevOps, or Operations role. Hands-on experience with tools like Tableau, Snowflake, AWS, Informatica Cloud. Familiarity with ITSM practices (e.g., incident, problem, change management). Proficiency with Jira, CI/CD workflows, and monitoring tools. Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
