Senior Data Warehouse Engineer

Role Description We are looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer with good designing skills to work with Conversant Engineering Data Warehousing teams which deals in data of petabyte scale. This role will help to define solutions for given product and engineering initiatives , and drive solutions to delivery by effectively engaging with team members across the globe. The person in this role will be working closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization , so he or she must be able to communicate and keep them informed on overall health on projects impacting Conversant Data Warehouse platforms. He should also be able to mentor Juniors in the Teams.

What you ll need

Lead , design and code solutions on and off database for ensuring application access to enable data driven decision making for the companys multi-faceted ad serving operations.

Working closely with Engineering resources across the globe to ensure enterprise data warehouse solutions and assets are actionable , accessible and evolving in lockstep with the needs of the ever-changing business model.

Ideal candidate can lead in the areas of: solution design , code development , quality assurance , data modeling , business intelligence , cross team communication , and application maintenance. What you ll need

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree is required.

5 - 10 years of business analysis experience around database marketing technologies and data management , and technical understanding in these areas.

Strong experience in Basic and Advanced SQL writing and tuning .

Experience with Python

Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions

Experience with scheduling applications with complex interdependencies , preferably Airflow

Good experience in working with geographically and culturally diverse teams

Familiarity with complex data lake environments that span OLTP , MPP and Hadoop platforms

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle complex products

Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly Required skills -

SQL , Datawarehouse , Python ,

ETL development , Greenplum or other MPP , ETL frameworks.

Nice to have : Spark/HDFS/Hive/Hadoop.
