Senior Data Stage Developer

Position Purpose
IRP team is a centralized team with a set of experts, across all IRP end to end streams starting from Acquisition, Calculation and Reporting (Static and Dynamic). The core activity lies in handling day-to-day live production queries/issues. The role is diverse, demands the ability and expertise of client reporting and performance functions. The individual will be responsible for both the production and delivery of various lines of financial reports such as Accounting Reports, Investment Reports, Performance Reports, Risk Reports, and Attribution etc. The role majorly requires timely and prompt coordination and communication with various stakeholders spread across the globe (UK/AU/EU/SG/US) such as Operations, IT Service Delivery and IT Development teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with business analysts/users to understand requirements.
• Ability to perform technical analysis, design and identify impacts (functional/technical).
• Develop, test and provide support during implementation.
• Bug fixing & performance optimization (SQL, stored procedures).
• Mentor and carry out code reviews of junior members on the team.

Ability to perform technical analysis, design and identify impacts (functional/technical)

Proficiency in:

• Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions using IBM Infosphere Datastage Parallel Edition
• Create data jobs, design data flows, and optimize data processing performance
• Manage and monitor data integration processes using Datastage Designer, Director, and Administrator
• Ensure data quality, data validation, and data transformation techniques are applied to all data integration processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data integration requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues and performance problems
• Hands on experience in designing Robust Data Pipelines in Datasatge PX to deal with huge data volumes.
• Experience in connecting Oracle data sources, ability to develop customization around Datastage PX and Oracle.
• Realtime working experience in dealing with Datastage 8.0 x, 9.0 x, 11.0 x and greater version, Data Dictionary, Deployment, Designer client, Director client.
• Oracle SQL and PL/SQL in 12c or latest version
• Triggers, Views and Performance Tuning related to SQL Queries
• Unix Shell scripting
• Any Scheduler concept awareness

Nice to Have:

• Experience with other data integration tools and technologies
• Experience in Migration to IBM Data Stage from other ETLs like Abinitio which is an added advantage
• Knowledge of data architecture and data modeling
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Certification in IBM Datastage or related technologies
• Experience with core Java and Frameworks is an added advantage.

Other/Specific Qualifications

• First class Graduate in any discipline (Computer Science preferred) from a reputed university with a good background of software development and IT experience of 7-9 years
