Senior Data Scientist -Credit Risk Analytics

Responsibilities:

• Lead credit risk analytics for secured lending products across origination, portfolio management, and collections.
• Drive development and ongoing refinement of credit policy frameworks and lending criteria.
• Evaluate new frameworks/tools needed for Risk management and well as Business expansion
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risk trends, and lead the development of mitigation strategies.
• Provide insights to senior leadership on risk appetite, portfolio quality
• Collaborate with data engineering to ensure robust data infrastructure and analytics capability.
• Evaluate the impact of new products or policy changes on portfolio risk and performance.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of credit analysts and risk modelers.
• Evaluate usecases of AI to drive productivity internally in the team and externally for stakeholders

Required Experience:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, R, or similar analytical tools.

• 4+ years

  of relevant experience in credit risk management or analytics
• Proven experience with credit policy design, risk modeling, and portfolio monitoring in a lending institution or fintech environment.
• Understanding of credit lifecycle, secured asset management, and loan loss provisioning is good to have
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Experience in MnA, Direct Assignment and Co-lending will be an advantage
