Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview: You are a Senior Data Scientist I who will be supporting the Finance Analytics team at Chubb India. Your main responsibility will be to develop predictive and prescriptive analytic solutions to add value to the finance function. As a self-starter, you will take ownership of your projects and deliver high-quality data-driven analytics solutions. You will be solving diverse business problems using various tools, strategies, algorithms, and programming languages, with a focus on creating business value and solving real-world problems. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain production forecast modeling pipeline, including model monitoring and refitting models as needed - Work with business partners to design and build effective solutions for complex business problems - Integrate data from multiple sources and build robust, cross-functional data assets to support analytics - Perform multivariate and exploratory data analysis, and communicate key findings to colleagues and business partners - Utilize statistics and machine learning to build predictive models supporting business initiatives - Perform complex analytics and data preparation tasks including feature engineering and brainstorming potential data sources - Communicate and present findings, including visualizations, to business partners - Provide training, guidance, and assistance to colleagues - Analyze data, draw meaningful conclusions, and assist in developing solutions to help drive profitability and/or growth Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Software Engineering or related field - 2+ years of data science related experience - Experience in Python and familiarity with time series modeling - Excellent data analysis and advanced data manipulation techniques using SQL - Business experience and knowledge of P&C industry is a plus - Experience with cloud-based technology and data visualization tools - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to adapt to changing stakeholder requirements and prioritize activities - Quick learner and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to specialist and non-specialist audiences At Chubb, you will have the opportunity to be part of a leading global insurance company with a focus on employee experience and a start-up-like culture.
