Senior Data Modeler

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Modeler to join our Data Analytics team to design and implement a Common Healthcare Data Model conforming to our Lakehouse medallion architecture. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of US healthcare data standards and prior experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain an analytical common data model that integrates data ingested from Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and various other transactional and healthcare data sources
• Work closely with data engineers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into logical and physical data models for the common data model.
• Ensure the data model is scalable, efficient, and well-documented.
• Utilize data modelling tools such as

  Erwin or ER Studio

  to create and design the common data model.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices to the broader analytics teams on data modelling & optimizations for query performance.
• Collaborate with downstream consumer teams to ensure the data model meets their analytical and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in data modelling.
• Prior experience with U.S. ambulatory healthcare data, including EHR and practice management systems.
• Proven ability to design and implement a canonical common data model that can consolidate data from diverse sources.
• Proficiency with data modelling tools
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data ingestion and ETL processing in cloud environments
• Understand healthcare standards including HL7, FHIR, CCDA
• Strong understanding of various data modelling techniques, including dimensional modelling ,3NF, Data Mesh, Data Fabric , data lake
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Exposure to Python is a plus
• Familiarity with data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Sigma a plus
