Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineer

As a key member of the Data consulting team, you will work directly with partners and senior stakeholders of clients to design and implement big data and analytics solutions. Your role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, along with a problem-solving attitude. Your primary responsibilities will include developing data solutions within Big Data Azure and/or other cloud environments, working with diverse data sets to meet the requirements of Data Science and Data Analytics teams, and building and designing Data Architectures using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse. You will liaise with CTO, Product Owners, and other Operations teams to deliver engineering roadmaps, perform data mapping activities, assist the Data Analyst team in developing KPIs and reporting, and maintain relevant documentation and knowledge bases. Additionally, you will research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols. To excel in this role, you must have technical expertise in emerging Big Data technologies such as Python, Spark, Hadoop, Clojure, Git, SQL, and Databricks, as well as experience with visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI. Proficiency in cloud, container, and microservice infrastructures, data modeling, query techniques, and complexity analysis is essential. Experience or knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum, working with development teams, and product owners will be beneficial. Certifications in any of the mentioned areas are preferred. You should be able to work independently, communicate effectively with remote teams, and demonstrate curiosity to learn and apply emerging technologies to solve business problems. Timely communication and escalation of issues or dependencies to higher management are crucial aspects of this role.
