Job Description

As a Data Platform Specialist at Siemens Energy, your role involves setting up and monitoring data acquisition systems to ensure seamless and reliable data flow. You will be responsible for communicating professionally with customers regarding data export and transmission, maintaining solid relationships. Additionally, you will manage and enhance the entire data platform, develop dashboards and digital services like Condition Monitoring and Hotline Support, and provide technical support to colleagues. Your contribution to the company-wide development of Siemens Energy's data analysis platform will involve migrating components into a centralized solution to boost efficiency and scalability. Collaborating with internal and external partners, you will optimize rule-based automated condition monitoring systems and streamline data management to drive innovation and support Siemens Energy's mission to advance sustainable energy solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and develop the data platform to ensure data availability and optimize existing data transformations. - Create and enhance dashboards and digital services, offering technical advice and problem-solving support to colleagues. - Contribute to the development and migration of Siemens Energy's data analysis platform towards a centralized, scalable solution. - Apply and optimize rule-based systems for automated condition monitoring to improve data analysis efficiency. - Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure streamlined and efficient data management. Qualifications Required: - Hold a Masters degree in Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. - Solid experience in managing and optimizing ETL pipelines of simple to medium complexity. - Proficiency in AWS services, especially Athena, Transfer Family (SFTP), CloudWatch, Lambda, and S3 Buckets within AWS Mosaic. - Skills in data analysis tools such as Alteryx or similar, and programming languages like Python and SQL. - Experience with rule-based systems for automated condition monitoring. - Expertise in setting up and managing data transmission processes. - Excellent written and spoken English skills. - Ability to coordinate partners and manage task packages effectively. - Passionate, creative self-starter with a proactive mentality towards leading change and innovation. - Strong team player who excels in an international environment and values collaborative work.
