Senior Copyeditor

You will be responsible for editing copies, selecting photos, providing graphic ideas, headlines, and captions. You will collaborate with reporters for graphic matter and stories, as well as with photographers for photos to enhance the overall product for our readers. Drawing layout dummies for the assigned pages/edition and making decisions on stories and pictures to create visually pleasing pages will be part of your role. Crafting catchy headlines, smart tagline adages, informative captions, and creating attractive and informative graphics are essential tasks. Additionally, you will edit and rewrite stories to ensure error-free, informative, and visually appealing pages. Scanning agencies for relevant stories that are not covered by reporters is crucial to maintain the competitive edge and ensure comprehensive coverage. You should possess a graduation degree in any discipline, preferably in English, along with a degree or diploma in journalism/mass communication. With 5 to 10 years of experience, you are expected to have a good news sense and excellent English language skills.
