Job Title - US Tax Senior - SALT (State and local Taxes) - Partnership Job ID- 1487290 Link to apply for the role - https://careers.ey.com/job-invite/1487290/ Job location: Any EY GDS office in India Your key responsibilities Performing detailed review of state partnership returns, Withholding Forms, Composite returns. Review extensions, withholding calculations/composite calculations, estimate payments, PTET calculations and related filings. Basic understanding and review skills for US Federal Partnership Tax returns for - Private Equity/Hedge Fund/Fund of Funds. Basic understanding and review skills for US Blocker corporate state returns. Review and critical analysis of allocation and apportionment and non-business income. Research, analyze, and interpret new or revised state and local tax law changes to determine potential impact on company tax profile. E-file state partnership tax return and review XMLs and check for any E-file rejects. Manage assigned task throughout end-to-end process in timely manner. Guide, mentor Staff (new and experienced) for upskilling, technical advancement, and performance management. Display general knowledge of engagement big picture and work towards obtaining appropriate certification. Take ownership of your schedule and proactively seek work when necessary to meet your annual chargeability goal. Adhere to practice protocol and other internal processes consistently. To qualify for the role, you must have Graduate or Postgraduate in Finance CPA/EA will be an added advantage (Completed or Pursuing) 3 to 5 years of experience in preparation and review of State Partnership Tax Returns Ideally, you'll also have Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance. Ability to read, interpret and apply the tax legislation embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs.
