Senior Consultant IT Shared Service Management Wintel

Role Overview: As a Wintel Specialist, your main responsibility will be the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows Servers. You will be tasked with handling various server issues such as crashes, performance concerns, advanced connectivity issues, and complex server problems. It is crucial for you to collaborate with third-party vendors to effectively resolve hardware, software, and service-related issues. Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose and resolve L2/L3 issues with VMware ESXi hosts and vSphere environments. - Perform regular maintenance tasks including OS and firmware updates, as well as patch management. - Upgrade Windows server versions from 2012R2 to 2016/2019. - Ensure stability and reliability of VMware environments through monitoring and maintenance. - Manage and resolve incidents within SLA timelines while maintaining proper communication with stakeholders. - Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and document findings. - Install, configure, and troubleshoot ESXi Hosts and vCenter servers. - Perform regular maintenance tasks like ESXi host firmware upgrades and vCenter Patch Management. - Upgrade ESXi hosts from version 6.x to 7.x/8.x and deploy and manage virtual machines. - Configure and maintain network settings for VMs, including virtual switches and VLANs. - Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting group policies, access permissions, and security settings. - Collaborate with other IT teams on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations. Qualifications Required: - In-depth knowledge of Windows Server and VMware vSphere administration. - Good knowledge of Azure, AWS, and O365. - Proficiency in Active Directory, GPO, DFS, File Servers, DNS, and DHCP. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
