Job Description

As a Senior Consultant in the Flexible Load Management (FLM) Analytics practice at ICF, you will play a crucial role in evolving the energy analytics offerings, delivering innovative solutions to client challenges, and driving strategic growth through thought leadership and client engagement. Your responsibilities will include supporting project management, client engagement and business development, working in cross-functional teams, contributing to the development of tools and workflows, establishing yourself as a thought leader, mentoring junior staff, and conducting novel energy efficiency and decarbonization analyses. Key Responsibilities: - Support project management by assisting project managers with FLM analyses, including scheduling project milestones, drafting deliverables, and managing the budget. - Engage with clients and support business development efforts through managing and growing client relationships, conducting market research, and developing proposals. - Collaborate in cross-functional teams to enhance processes and stay updated on the industry landscape. - Contribute to the development of tools and workflows for strategic decision-making in designing FLM program strategies. - Demonstrate technical leadership through external publications and presentations. - Mentor, coach, and train junior staff in various FLM topics. - Conduct energy efficiency and decarbonization analyses based on Building Energy Management frameworks. Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Electrical Engineering, Building Science, Energy Management, Energy Policy and Planning, or related fields. - 5+ years of experience in the energy industry with expertise in FLM technologies such as demand response, energy efficiency, solar, and storage. - Strong understanding of U.S. energy policy and regulation, particularly in the FLM domain. - Proven experience in supporting large projects and managing multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with Building Energy Modeling in industrial or academic settings. - Familiarity with energy-saving evaluation methods and protocols like IPMVP, and financial analysis tools. - Proficiency in open-source data science languages, preferably Python.
