Senior Cloud SRE Engineer (Azure)

In this role, you will be joining our Cloud SRE team within Cloud & Productivity Engineering as an SRE Azure Engineer. The team focuses on applying software Engineering practices to IT operations tasks to maintain and improve the availability, scalability, and reliability of our Cloud platform hosting LSEG applications. The key responsibilities include striving to improve automation and increase the systems" self-healing capabilities, monitoring, measuring, and optimizing the platform's performance, and working alongside architects, developers, and engineers to ensure efficient enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zone platforms and products. You will actively participate in decision-making areas such as automation, scalability, capacity, reliability, business continuity, disaster recovery, and governance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Engineer, maintain, and optimize hybrid Azure Platform and Services, focusing on automation, reliability, scalability, and performance. - Collaborate with Azure Platform engineering teams, architects, and other cross-functional teams to enhance reliability in the build and release stages for the Azure Platform and products. - Develop and deploy automation tools and frameworks to reduce toil and improve automation. - Guide teams in Cloud products and services, ensuring alignment with the overall Azure Platform strategy. - Adhere to best practices in Azure administration, development, and DevOps processes. - Continuously seek areas of improvement, provide innovative solutions, and solve technical issues. - Participate in Project-related activities to meet operational needs. - Create and maintain up-to-date comprehensive documentation for landing zone components, processes, and procedures. - Provide a high level of customer service and critical thinking under pressure. - Follow and adhere to established ITSM processes and procedures (Incident, Request, Change, and Problem Management). **Qualification Required:** - Proven 5 years" experience in Site Reliability Engineering with a focus on Azure Platform Landing Zones and services. - Relevant Azure certification such as Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104). - Experience with DevSecOps practices, including automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code. - 3 years demonstrable experience with creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and repositories. - Experience working in Agile environments, with a demonstrable experience of Agile principles, ceremonies, and practices. - Experience implementing and managing platform and product observability. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
