Description
In this role, you will be joining our Cloud SRE team within Cloud & Productivity Engineering as an SRE Azure Engineer. The team focuses on applying software engineering practices to IT operations tasks to maintain and improve the availability, scalability, and reliability of our Cloud platform hosting LSEG applications. The primary goal is to enhance automation and increase the systems" self-healing capabilities while monitoring, measuring, and optimizing the platform's performance to exceed customer needs. Collaboration with architects, developers, and engineers is crucial to ensure efficient enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zone platforms and products, actively participating in decision-making areas such as automation, scalability, capacity, reliability, business continuity, disaster recovery, and governance. Key Responsibilities: - Engineer, maintain, and optimize hybrid Azure Platform and Services with a focus on automation, reliability, scalability, and performance. - Collaborate with Azure Platform engineering teams and cross-functional teams to enhance reliability in build and release stages. - Develop and deploy automation tools and frameworks to reduce toil and improve automation. - Guide teams in Cloud products and services alignment with the overall Azure Platform strategy. - Adhere to best practices in Azure administration, development, and DevOps processes. - Continuously seek areas of improvement, provide innovative solutions, and solve technical issues. - Participate in Project related activities and maintain up-to-date comprehensive documentation. - Provide high levels of customer service, critical thinking under pressure, and adhere to established ITSM processes and procedures. Tech Profile/Essential Skills: - 5 years" experience in Site Reliability Engineering focusing on Azure Platform Landing Zones and services. - Relevant Azure certification such as Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104). - Experience with DevSecOps practices, automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code. - Demonstrable experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and repositories. - Experience in Agile environments and Agile principles with excellent communication skills. - Implementation and management of observability tools like Datadog or Azure native tooling. Preferred Skills And Experience: - Experience with setting up enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zones and Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, etc. - Strong problem-solving skills, incident/service management, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Sound understanding of financial institutes and markets. Education And Professional Skills: - Relevant Professional qualifications. - BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM degree.
