Senior CAD Technician - Water & Wastewater

The role involves working as a part of WSP Integrated Complementary Resource Centre (iCRC) Engineering team and contributing to the production of detailed Civil drawings using Civil 3D, MicroStation, and similar applications. You will play a key role in Civil design for various water, wastewater, and conveyance projects in Canada, including Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations, and more. Your responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating expertise in Civil 3D and MicroStation, with a working knowledge of projects from concept to completion - Proficiency in creating surfaces, corridors, pipe and pressure networks, plan and profiles, sections, grading, and volumes calculation - Experience in preparing drawings for lift stations, pump stations, and other mechanical equipment related to Water & Wastewater utilities while adhering to company BIM/CAD standards - Understanding Revit modeling and functionality - Ensuring CAD standards are implemented and enforced - Collaborating with the iCRC-coordinator to agree on priorities and deadlines for drawing production - Providing quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced - Contributing to the coordination of engineering services on projects - Generating design sketches for information in tender documents for small/routine work - Offering advice and coaching to technicians on intermediate Civil 3D/Microstation functions when requested - Adhering to QA, document control, and archiving guidelines on all work - Working with project team members on specified aspects of the project - Performing other duties as assigned/required Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications: - Minimum 8-12 years of hands-on experience in AutoCAD drafting and design - Working experience in US/Canadian BIM/CAD Projects - Mandatory knowledge in Civil 3D and MicroStation software - Experience working on large projects using ACC, BIM360 & ProjectWise collaboration platforms - Ability to work well within a team environment - Experience on a number of projects across different sectors - Willingness to learn Desired Skills: - Knowledge or Experience in Dynamo for Civil 3D - Knowledge of Recap and Infraworks - Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks Qualifications: - B.E.(Civil), B.Tech Civil, Diploma,
