Senior Business Intelligence specialist

The Business Intelligence Manager position at Hitachi Energy offers an exciting opportunity to support the North American operation. Reporting to the North America Business Process Manager, you will play a key role in managing the existing framework, data models, user access management methods, and act as the interface to the NAM BST and EDP Data Analytics team. Your main responsibilities will include improving and maintaining the current Power BI architecture to accommodate over 2,000 users across various functions and factories. You will collaborate with global IT teams to ensure operational data is available for business reporting and work closely with the BI Operational Manager to develop functional specifications and best practices for report development. As the Business Intelligence Manager, you will also be tasked with creating a framework and core processes for user access management, collaborating with global BI colleagues, mentoring less experienced BI Analysts, and implementing new standards and technologies to drive the business strategy forward. Additionally, you will provide project updates to leadership, ensure compliance with regulations, and uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience. Proficiency in business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis using Power BI is required, as well as strong communication skills and experience in developing and implementing BI solutions. You should have a solid understanding of manufacturing operations, business processes, and data flow, and possess technical skills in SQL development, VBA, Power BI, DAX, Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL Server, Tableau, and knowledge of R/Python/Scala.
