Senior BIM Technician - Electrical

**Role Overview:** You will be responsible for preparing the Electrical services modeling work, including containment, lighting, small power, fire alarm & detection, and security & access modeling. Your role will involve preparing MEP 3D Revit coordinated models and setting up BIM models to project standards while liaising with Model Managers from the client side. You will also be expected to implement best practices on process improvement works, adopt new technology, and implement it within the team and process. Creating work sets, work-sharing methodologies in Revit Models, and flagging resource concerns in advance to the CAD/BIM manager will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will have project delivery responsibility on agreed schedules, preparing plant room layouts, sections, details, and coordinated services drawings. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare Electrical services modeling work - Experienced in containment, lighting, small power, fire alarm & detection, and security & access modeling - Prepare MEP 3D Revit coordinated models - Set up BIM models to project standards and liaise with Model Managers from the client side - Implement best practices on process improvement works - Adopt new technology and implement it within the team and process - Create work sets and work-sharing methodologies in Revit Models - Flag resource concerns in advance to CAD/BIM manager - Have project delivery responsibility on agreed schedules - Prepare plant room layouts, sections, details, and coordinated services drawings - Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing/model production with CAD/BIM Manager - Input to the coordination of engineering services on projects - Develop general arrangement drawings from engineers sketches and other design team member drawings and details - Discuss and agree on setting out and building services details with other team members - Complete design sketches for information in tender documents for small/routine work - Produce work to specified WSP in India CAD standards and suggest revisions to standards as appropriate - Use templates for CAD/BIM work and CAD/BIM library items to assist design work - Provide advice and coaching to junior CAD/BIM staff on CAD functions when requested - Follow QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work - Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project - Ensure all relevant standards and guides are used in accordance with WSP in India QA processes **Qualifications:** - Years of Experience: 8 to 12 - Mandatory Skills: Electrical Design, Electricals, AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, MEP, REVIT MEP - Skills To Be Evaluated On: Electrical Design, Electricals, AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, MEP, REVIT MEP **About Us:** WSP is one of the world's leading professional services consulting firms, dedicated to local communities and driven by international brainpower.
