Senior BI Engineer

You have a great opportunity to join our team as a Senior Looker Developer / Lead Looker Developer with 5-7 years of IT experience, focusing specifically on Looker for at least 4-5 years. The location for this role is either Gurugram or Hyderabad. As a Senior Looker Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and insightful business intelligence solutions using Looker. Your role will involve translating complex business requirements into clear, interactive, and high-performance dashboards and reports to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. You should have a deep understanding of BI concepts, strong SQL skills, and extensive experience with AWS services like Redshift and RDS Postgres SQL. Your responsibilities will include leading the design, development, and implementation of complex, interactive, and user-friendly dashboards and reports using Looker. You will translate diverse business requirements into technical specifications and impactful data visualizations. Additionally, you will optimize Looker datasets, analyses, and dashboards for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Implementing advanced Looker features and ensuring data accuracy and integrity within all Looker reports and dashboards will also be part of your role. You will need to identify and address performance bottlenecks in Looker dashboards and data sources, implement best practices for Looker security, user access, and data governance, and monitor Looker usage and performance. Compliance with data security policies and governance guidelines when handling sensitive data within Looker is crucial. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field, with 5-7 years of IT experience and 3-5 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing complex dashboards and reports using Looker. Strong proficiency in SQL, in-depth understanding of BI, and extensive experience with AWS services like Redshift and RDS are essential. You should have proven abilities to translate business requirements into technical solutions, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with other BI tools and proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation are preferred skills that would be beneficial for this role. Working in an Agile development methodology, ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines are also required qualities for this position.,
