Salesforce–Power BI integration

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and deploy interactive dashboards and self-service BI reports in

  Power BI.

• Architect and maintain

  data models

  ,

  semantic layers

  , and

  calculated measures

   (DAX/MDX) that support consistent KPIs and metrics across departments.
• Implement and manage secure, performant

  Power BI–Salesforce

  integrations

   using native connectors and authentication, enabling real-time and scheduled CRM insights.
• Collaborate with business units to elicit data requirements, translate business logic into SQL/DAX, and deliver reusable datasets and visuals.
• Work with data engineering teams to design efficient ETL pipelines and curate data sources in enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift).
• Conduct A/B testing, usage analytics, and performance diagnostics to optimize dashboards for speed, usability, and value.
• Champion best practices in BI development lifecycle, source control, documentation, and deployment (CI/CD pipelines for reports/datasets).
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and digital transformation teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in BI development, with hands-on expertise in

  Power BI

   and

  MicroStrategy

  .
• Proven experience integrating

  Power BI with

  Salesforce

  , including:
• Connecting to standard/custom objects and Salesforce reports
• Managing API limits, incremental loads, and metadata-driven refresh logic
• Enforcing user-level security through RLS and Salesforce permission mapping
• Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar dialects), DAX, and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
• Solid understanding of BI architectural patterns, including data lake/warehouse integrations and dimensional modeling.
• Familiarity with enterprise metadata management, data lineage, and report governance frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and version control tools (Git, Azure DevOps).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in banking, fintech, or regulated financial services environments.
• Familiarity with Power BI Service workspace management, deployment pipelines, and Power BI REST API.
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python) for BI operations.
• Knowledge of MicroStrategy-specific features such as intelligent cubes, dossiers, and distribution services.
