Senior Basis Consultant

We are looking for a confident, experienced, and hands-on Basis Consultant who has worked across many different applications, databases, and operating systems. You should be eager to learn new technologies, approaches, and solutions, and pride yourself on your ability to solve difficult problems others cannot. The ideal candidate can think outside the box, conceptualize new designs and ways of working, and understands the need for and benefits of automating tasks to the maximum extent possible. You should enjoy working with clients and be a strong team player willing to share knowledge with others.

Key Responsibilities:

• As part of the Implementation Teams, deliver successful SAP migrations to AWS, owning key components of the migration basis activities.
• As part of the Operation Teams, provide technical support and evolution to customers who have migrated their SAP systems to AWS, with a focus on proactively identifying and implementing solutions to avoid future issues and reduce costs.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams and customer teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Proactively identify customer opportunities to deploy additional services and solutions.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve and evolve internal tooling and methodology.
• Provide out-of-hours support cover when scheduled to the support rota.
• Deploy internal tooling to support the automation of basis and infrastructure activities.
• Mentor and support more junior consultants.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with offshore and nearshore solution providers.
• Experience working for an external SAP Service Provider.
• Provided Project Basis Services.
• Provided Support Basis Services.
• Performed Technical Assessments on larger SAP environments.
• Performed Operational Assessments on Outsourced and/or Offshored services.
• Performed Quality Assurance on third-party, internal, or external implementations, upgrades, and infrastructure replacements.
• Used Solution Manager in day-to-day service management.
• Used Solution Manager in the execution of problem analyses.
• Executed application and database upgrades and EhP implementations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of globally diverse teams.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Desired Skills:

• Executed homogenous and heterogeneous system migrations.
• Implemented the different Basis components of Solution Manager.
• Good understanding of ITIL.
• Good understanding of RunSAP.
• Good understanding of CHARM, Transport Express or RevTrack, Redwood Tools, UC4 One Automation.
• Experience with SAP on AWS.
