Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Ownership

• Own the design of:
• Workflow engines
• State machines
• Approval frameworks
• Audit logging standards
• Define reusable backend modules shared across multiple project.
• Review and approve all critical backend changes.

Complex Workflow & Data Integrity

• Design long-running workflows with rollback and compensation.
• Ensure correctness under concurrency and partial failures.
• Protect ERP and compliance-sensitive flows from unsafe changes.

Integration Governance

• Define integration contracts with SAP, CRM, and third-party systems.
• Ensure idempotency, retry safety, and reconciliation mechanisms.
• Review and approve integration logic implemented by others.

Code Quality & Standards

• Enforce coding standards, API versioning, and documentation.
• Lead code reviews with focus on failure scenarios and audit trails.
• Ensure test coverage for critical business logic.

AI-Assisted Engineering Leadership

• Define where and how AI tools may be used safely.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness and compliance.
• Use AI to explore design alternatives and edge cases.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years backend engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in

  Node.js / Java / .NET

  (enterprise usage).
• Proven experience designing

  stateful, workflow-driven systems

• Deep understanding of transaction management, idempotency, retries.
• Experience with enterprise-grade databases and APIs.
• Prior exposure to ERP-adjacent or compliance-heavy systems.
