Senior Backend Engineer

You are an experienced and passionate Senior Backend Engineer who will be joining our agile development team. Your expertise lies in designing and building secure, scalable, and high-performance applications hosted on the Azure cloud, complemented by strong mentorship and leadership capabilities. Your responsibilities will include understanding, analyzing, and optimizing existing application architecture and solutions, as well as designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable backend components and frameworks. Collaboration with architects, team leads, and peers in an agile scrum environment is key, along with writing robust, clean, and efficient code following best practices. You will also be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing applications on the Azure cloud platform, identifying technical gaps, and proposing effective solutions. Establishing and upholding coding standards through regular code reviews and mentoring junior and mid-level developers is an essential part of the role. Staying updated on emerging technologies and leveraging them effectively to solve client-specific business challenges, providing regular progress updates to management and stakeholders, and operating efficiently within an agile design and development framework are also expected. As for the requirements, you should have 7+ years of experience in software development using C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET (Core and Framework). Proficiency with testing frameworks (e.g., XUnit, Specflow) and practices (TDD, BDD, integration testing) is crucial, along with strong knowledge of SQL Server database design, efficient query writing, stored procedures, and ORMs (EF Core, Dapper). Proven expertise with microservices and serverless architectures (Azure Functions, API apps, Azure Service Bus, message queues), extensive experience with development tools like Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git, deep understanding of Azure cloud services, strong skills in CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and expertise in Azure Active Directory and security protocols are also required. Soft skills such as being an excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills, passionate about technology with a commitment to continuous learning, self-motivated with the ability to proactively address challenges, exceptional communication and presentation skills, ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, and comfortable working with globally distributed teams are highly valued.
