Description
As a Senior Backend Engineer / Architect at Beo Software Pvt Ltd, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable REST/GraphQL APIs following OpenAPI standards. Your expertise will be crucial in data modeling using PostgreSQL and pgvector, along with defining migration strategies. You will handle authentication and authorization using OIDC/OAuth2 with Azure AD/B2C, RBAC, and rate limiting. Your role will involve event/queue-based orchestration, ensuring idempotence & retries using Azure Service Bus or similar technologies. You will be responsible for observability using OpenTelemetry, creating dashboards, setting up alerting systems, and defining SLO/SLA metrics. Security and compliance are paramount, involving key vault management, private endpoints, secrets rotation, and GDPR concepts. In addition, you will be involved in CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep/Terraform, and managing blue/green deployments. Your technical leadership will be crucial in maintaining coding standards, conducting reviews, and defining API contracts following AsyncAPI standards. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of backend experience with at least 2 years in a lead/architect capacity. Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js with Express/Fastify frameworks, strong API/domain modeling skills, and experience with Azure services like AKS or App Service, Azure AD/B2C, Service Bus, and Storage/Blob is required. Knowledge of PostgreSQL for query optimization, indexes, and migrations is essential. It would be beneficial to have experience with search/ranking systems, caching using Redis, and working with HR/ATS integrations and SFTP/batch imports. Your working method should align with API-first principles, clean code practices, trunk-based development, and mandatory code reviews. Familiarity with tools like GitHub, Docker, Jira/Linear, and Notion/Confluence will be an added advantage.
