Senior Backend Developer-JAVA

You are being offered the opportunity to join a highly autonomous and talented team as a Senior Backend Engineer for a greenfield project at a NASDAQ-listed global leader in the food & beverage sector. Your main responsibility will be to design scalable, modular backend systems using Java, SpringBoot, NoSQL, GraphQL, and Azure cloud services to cater to multiple internal stakeholders across the business. As a Senior Backend Engineer, your key responsibilities will include architecting and developing scalable microservices with Java (SpringBoot), designing and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs, leading backend integration with NoSQL databases and Azure cloud services, contributing to PoC development, system design, and documentation, collaborating closely with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams for seamless feature delivery, and ensuring code quality, performance, and security standards are maintained. To be eligible for this role, you must possess 10+ years of backend engineering experience, 6+ years of hands-on expertise in SpringBoot & Java development, 3+ years of experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB), 2+ years of practical experience in GraphQL, 2+ years of exposure to Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, etc.), a proven track record in building modular, reusable APIs, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and be based in or willing to work from Hyderabad in a hybrid model. The work schedule for this role will require a 5-hour mandatory overlap with IST (India Standard Time) and follows a hybrid setup with partial remote work and partial onsite presence in Hyderabad. The job type is full-time and the location type is in-person with a US shift schedule.
