Senior Back End Developer

As a Senior Software Engineer within our dynamic development team, you will collaborate with fellow developers, product managers, and customer support teams to design and develop services utilized across various product lines. Our products are deployed in public (AWS) and private cloud environments. Your primary responsibilities will include developing software solutions based on user needs, system flow analysis, and work process evaluation, following the software development lifecycle. You will lead small teams, conduct planning meetings, and ensure accurate task estimations. Additionally, you will prototype business functionality models, participate in design and code reviews, interact with Product Management to gather requirements, and collaborate with other teams to resolve dependencies. Evaluating technology efficiency, adhering to best practices and coding standards, and addressing technical obstacles will be integral to your role. To excel in this position, you should have over 5 years of experience with modern web stacks, high-volume web applications, and APIs, along with expertise in relational database design and management. Your background should demonstrate a history of constructing resilient, scalable, stateless, distributed systems, and building high-performance services like REST and SOAP. Proficiency in microservices, cloud services (specifically AWS), and a proactive approach to software engineering are essential. Embracing a "You build it, You own it" mentality, displaying a strong sense of ownership, and fostering a collaborative, communicative work style are crucial for success in this role. The technology stack you will work with includes Java 8+/Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, SQL/PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
