Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure

- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / Terragrunt

- Implement auto-scaling strategies and load balancing solutions

- Optimize CDN configurations with AWS Cloudfront

- Harden infrastructure and application security across all layers

- Implement security best practices for AWS configurations

- Manage IAM policies, security groups, and network ACLs

- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions

- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes

- Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging and alerting systems

- Create and maintain operational best practices

- Managing and resolving DevSecOps-related incidents, service requests, and operational issues in a timely manner

- Monitoring system health and performance of DevSecOps platforms, investigating anomalies, and mitigating risks

- Lead a team of DevOps Engineers

Technical Skills:

- Minimum 6 years of DevOps experience, with a strong focus on AWS

- Expert knowledge of AWS Cloud services e.g. (VPC, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, Vault, CloudFront, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, Lambda, Load Balancer, Security Groups, Redis)

- Strong background in infrastructure and application security

- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, EKS)

- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Pipelines and tooling (Github, Github Actions, Jenkins, Jira)

- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools

- Good exposure to Monitoring, Logging and Alerting tools / systems - Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, Splunk, Fluentd, Fluent-Bit

- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols

- Hands on experience with Linux system administration

- Proficient in using Terraform / Terragrunt for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage and provision infrastructure

- Exposure to OpenSearch/ElasticSearch Kibana (ELK)

- Methodological knowledge in SAFe, Agile product development with Scrum, ITIL-processes, DevSecOps

- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional)

- Security certifications (e.g., CCSP, AWS Security Specialty) are a plus

- Proven track record for leading AWS DevOps Platform team
