Senior Automation Engineer

As a Software Senior Principal Engineer on the Software Engineering Team at Dell Technologies, you will be working on delivering next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies, tools, and methodologies, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop sophisticated systems and software based on customers" business goals, needs, and general business environment. - Architect, design, and develop automation, validation, and CI/CD strategies for BIOS and FW on Dell's client products. - Lead the design of the next-generation test automation architecture to ensure scalability and portability. - Collaboratively realize features through development, test, and delivery as an active member of an agile team. - Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools, and processes. **Qualifications Required:** - 12-18 years of relevant experience in architecture, design, and development of automation, validation, and CI/CD for BIOS and firmware. - Master's or bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline. - Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as C and Python, common software/hardware debugging tools, test automation, and CI/CD framework. - Knowledge or relevant deployment experience of the PC ecosystem with a focus on BIOS and embedded FW features for client products. - Ability to code/debug flexible, scalable, and complex programs, and guide others in the same. - Hands-on experience in designing and developing automation/CI/CD solutions for pre-boot BIOS and embedded controller firmware. **Desirable Qualifications:** - Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience.
