Senior Automation Engineer (Java)

In this role, you will join the QA automation team responsible for supporting feature development of our product suite and big data conformance initiative. You will be expected to showcase your expertise in requirement analysis, test planning, test design, risk analysis, and defect management within a technical environment. Your responsibilities will include ensuring quality coverage and results, driving automated solutions, process enhancements, and mentoring team members. Adapting to a fast-paced Agile (Scrum) development approach with tight timelines will be crucial for success in this role. Preferred skills for this position include proficiency in object-oriented design and coding, familiarity with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases, experience in API testing, knowledge of various test methods, understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies and processes, as well as experience in storage, compute, VMware testing, and automation frameworks for mobile applications. The key responsibilities of this role include performing Test Automation and setting up frameworks on multiple application platforms, creating and managing bug reports, building test scenarios and acceptance tests, collaborating with deployment teams to resolve system issues, and establishing, maintaining, and operating test automation frameworks. To be successful in this role, you are required to bring at least 5 years of experience in developing test cases, analyzing requirements, and managing test results. Additionally, experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java and Python, working in an agile or other iterative software development methodology, and familiarity with Test Case Management are essential.
