The ABF Senior Developer will deliver cloud data pipelines, models and interactive Power BI views that power features such as borrowing-base validation, collateral performance tracking, exception logs and KPI time-series analysis. You will partner closely with the US based analytics team and third-party vendors to create a scalable, auditable and institutional reporting solution.
The Senior Developer will:
- Design and maintain AWS-based data lake / warehouse (S3, Glue, Redshift/Snowflake)
- Implement secure, automated ingestion from MDM, Datawarehouse, FTP/-email feeds and servicer reports
- Build performance ELT pipelines and dimensional models for collateral, cash activity, audit logs and exception tracking
- Optimize complex SQL for time-series and point-in-time analytics
- Develop data-validation and reconciliation scripts (e.g., borrowing-base waterfall checks, covenant tests)
- Package re-usable utilities and deploy with CI/CD (CodeBuild / CodePipeline)
- Create intuitive, institutional Power BI dashboards and paginated reports covering delinquency curves, geographic exposure, corporate spreads and other KPIs
- Implement row-level security and performance-efficient DAX measures
- Apply IaC (CloudFormation/Terraform) and Git workflows
- Enforce data-quality SLAs, logging, testing and documentation
Required Experience:
- 7+ years in data engineering / BI development on cloud platforms
- Cloud: AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift/Snowflake or Aurora), IAM, networking basics, Azure
- SQL: Advanced query optimization, window functions, performance tuning
- Python: Data engineering (pandas, PySpark), REST/GraphQL integration, test automation
- BI & Visualization: Power BI (DAX, Power Query, RLS, deployment pipelines)
- Data Architecture & ETL: Schema design, CDC, orchestration (Airflow/Step Functions)
- Version Control & CI/CD: Git, CodeBuild/CodePipeline or GitHub Actions
- Front End GUI experience (plus)
- Knowledge of Asset-Backed Finance (ABF), borrowing-base mechanics, advance rates and waterfall structures a plus
